Artist Statement

Professional Artist Serena Pugh

Serena is a multifaceted Wiltshire fine artist based in the picturesque town of Bradford on Avon. Her professional artistic works are deeply rooted in diverse inspirations and techniques, delivering colourful and dramatic pieces to the viewer.

 

She draws on her surroundings, life experiences and fantastical thoughts, to offer a complex and varied portfolio. Working across mediums such as oils, acrylics and watercolour, Serena's pieces cover the traditional with modern abstraction, realism, free form experimentation, and playful whimsy.


Her intuitive art invites viewers into a world of texture, bold strokes and mark making where every colour sings and dances across the canvas. Through her mastery of colour and composition, she captures the essence of joy, infusing her pieces with a sense of positivity, heart and optimism.


Serena's work covers a wide range of genre and media and is a celebration of life itself, a testament to the beauty that surrounds us and the boundless potential for happiness in every moment.

The Studio / Gallery

SerenArts Gallery

Serena's studio is set in the idyllic surroundings of the Barton Farm Country Park in Bradford on Avon, SerenArts Gallery, part of the Tithebarn Workshops, and was opened by Serena and her husband Mike in 2009.


The Barton Farm Country Park area forms the oldest and arguably most beautiful part of the town. Reached easily along the River Walk from the town centre or near by car parks, it provides Serena with all the inspiration she could possibly want, with the iconic Tithe Barn in front of her studio and the beautiful gardens to the side.

 

As well as offering all the motivation necassary to create her artwork, the studio / gallery is the perfect place to exhibit and promote the Serena's work.
